Step 1: Prep and Hydrate Your Skin for a Smooth Base
Good makeup starts with good skin. Begin with a light, milky toner that also hydrates. Try the Laneige Cream Skin Toner. It uses peptides and ceramides to fill your skin with moisture, and it leaves no greasy feel. Next, lock in moisture with Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. This cream works well for dry skin as it fills and smooths your face. I choose the version with SPF 30 to add sun care while prepping for makeup.
Step 2: Color Correct with a Precise Touch
Use a creamy color corrector to mute dark spots and uneven tones. Try Natasha Denona High Glam Color Corrector in C6. Use a small brush or your fingertip. Lightly tap the product around the eyes and mouth. Focus on spots with extra color. A hint: Set the corrector with One/Size Setting Powder in Rich Peach using a soft hand. This step keeps the corrector in place when you add foundation later.
Step 3: Prime for Long-Lasting Makeup
If you see oily spots or notice your foundation fading, use a grip primer. Dab Milk Hydro Grip Primer on your T-zone. It makes a tacky layer that holds foundation and powder in place so they stick longer throughout the day.
Step 4: Build a Flawless Foundation Base
Now it is time for foundation. I use House Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation. This product has medium-to-buildable coverage, a natural look, and it comes in many shades (I use shade 480). Press the product into your skin with a dense foundation brush. Do not swipe it; press it in gently for an even, smooth result that does not look heavy.
Step 5: Sculpt and Define with a Versatile Palette
Create shape on your face with a multi-use palette. Try Make Up For Ever HD Skin Cream Face Palette. This item contains foundation shades along with bronzers, contours, and blush in one case. Use a blush brush to add contour on the edges of your forehead, along the cheekbones, and by the jawline. Then, soften the lines with a damp sponge for a smooth merge.
Step 6: Perfect Your Concealer Game
Concealers add both light and shape to the face. Start with a base concealer—I use Natasha Denona High Glam Concealer in P9 to cover dark under-eyes. Then, use a lighter concealer (P7) on the inner corners to bring extra brightness. You can mix these shades to bring attention to the chin, the center of the forehead, and the bridge of the nose. A tip: Keep the light shade in the center and the slightly darker shade near the edges to create a natural lift.
Step 7: Set and Blend for a Polished Finish
Stop creasing and fading by setting your concealer with a mix of powders. I mix One/Size Setting Powder in Sweet Honey with Huda Beauty Easy Baked Powder in Cinnamon Bun. This pair gives a mix of warmth and light to the under-eye area. Use a beauty sponge to soften any strong lines and produce a neat finish.
