Looking for an affordable makeup routine that boosts your everyday look? Whether you are new to makeup or you work on it often, you can get a soft glam look without spending too much. Today, I share a step-by-step makeup tutorial using drugstore products that give a pro look. I tested each product on my sister, Aspen, to prove that this routine works well on natural skin. Let’s start!

Step 1: Prep the Skin with a Lightweight Moisturizer
Start by getting your skin ready for makeup. I used the Sarra P Facial Moisturizer. Its lightweight, oil-free feel works for normal and oily skin in humid weather. The moisturizer fills and prepares the skin so that foundation stays in place.
Key tip: Wait until the moisturizer sits in the skin before you add makeup.
Step 2: Build a Flawless Base with Milani 2-in-1 Conceal & Perfect Foundation
I chose the Milani 2-in-1 Conceal & Perfect Foundation in Warm Beige. This product covers from medium to full and leaves the skin with a soft shine. Use a firm foundation brush and press it into the skin. The brush strokes help the product sit evenly.
This makeup works because it:
• Lasts long
• Comes in over 40 shades
• Costs little and is found at most stores
Step 3: Brighten and Conceal Under the Eyes
For the eye area, I picked the L’Oreal True Match Concealer. I tap the product gently on the skin. This step lightens the eye area and masks small marks. Use a soft tapping motion to keep the skin smooth.
Step 4: Bring in Warmth with a Liquid Concealer
I turned a concealer into a bronzer by using Maybelline Eraser Concealer in Hazelnut. I press this warm product on the cheekbones, jawline, and around the forehead. This method adds a natural warmth to your face while keeping costs low.
This trick works because:
• It is budget-friendly
• You can add more or less color as needed
• One product serves two uses in your bag
Step 5: Set and Brighten with Airspun Translucent Powder
I next lock in the makeup with Airspun Translucent Setting Powder. I press the powder under the eyes and on key zones like the nose and jawline. The powder holds your makeup and gives a soft brightness. Note that Airspun has its own scent. If you are sensitive, test it on your skin first.
Step 6: Blush for a Fresh, Youthful Glow
For color on the cheeks, I layered two blushes:
• Katrice Blush Affair in Shade 30 – a light powder blush that blends good with a brush and sponge.
• Revolution Powder Blush in Pink Lady – a second blush on the apples provides a pop of color.
Mixing different textures and hues deepens the blush, giving a fresh, natural look.
Step 7: Create Soft, Smoky Eyes with Colourpop and e.l.f.
For the eyes, I chose a simple method:
• I apply Colourpop BFF Cream Gel Eyeliner on the lash line, then blend it with a smudge brush.
• I add a hint of Color on the upper lids and blend some along the lower lash line with the e.l.f. Nude Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette.
This simple method puts color on the eyes while keeping them defined.
Step 8: Define Lashes with Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara
A quick coat of Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara works on both top and bottom lashes. The product makes the lashes look longer and fuller, yet it stays clump-free.
Final Touch: Lip Color
To finish the look, choose a soft or neutral lip color. This final step matches the fresh and natural soft glam style.
